Emergency Help for British Visitors in Croatia
Most frequent questions and answers
Losing a passport abroad can quickly become overwhelming, especially when dealing with local authorities, travel arrangements, and language barriers at the same time. If your British passport has been lost or stolen while visiting Croatia, we can help guide you through the local process and explain what steps should be taken immediately.
This may include assistance with reporting the incident to the police, understanding documentation requirements, arranging translations when necessary, and helping you locate the nearest services relevant to your situation. We can also help visitors understand how to apply for emergency travel documentation through official UK Government channels and assist with practical local coordination while waiting for replacement documents or travel approval.

Medical situations abroad are often stressful, particularly when visitors are unfamiliar with the local healthcare system. If you require urgent treatment, hospital care, pharmacy assistance, or communication support with medical staff, we can help connect you with appropriate English-speaking services in the region.
We understand that even routine situations can become complicated when language differences and unfamiliar procedures are involved. Our support focuses on helping visitors communicate effectively, understand local medical processes, and coordinate practical matters during treatment or recovery. We can also assist family members who may need help understanding the situation from abroad.
If you experience theft, fraud, assault, property damage, or another serious issue while visiting Croatia, it is important to understand local reporting procedures and communicate clearly with the appropriate authorities. We provide practical assistance to British visitors who need help navigating these situations locally.
This may include guidance regarding police stations, translation assistance during communication, support understanding official paperwork, and referrals to trusted English-speaking legal professionals when necessary. Our goal is to reduce confusion and help visitors handle difficult situations with greater confidence and clarity.
Late check-in is only possible through “Smart Self Check-In” option.
Feel free to request “Smart Self Check-In” during our working hours (at least 1 hour before 00:00). After filling out an online eVisitor registration form, you will receive simple check-in instructions including property address, photos and access codes for the doors.
We would like to note that we are not responsible if you are unable to check in after our working hours because our employees will not be available to provide support.
In the event of a failed check-in after the designated check-in time, the reservation will be charged in full according to the policy under which it was made.
The Adriatic coast experiences extremely busy travel periods during the tourist season, and weather conditions can occasionally affect ferries, flights, or transport connections between islands and mainland destinations. Unexpected disruptions can create stressful situations for travellers unfamiliar with the local transport system.
We assist visitors who require local guidance during travel interruptions by helping them understand available options, coordinate alternative arrangements, communicate with accommodation providers, and organise practical next steps. This can be especially helpful for travellers dealing with missed connections, delayed ferries, cancelled transport, or urgent accommodation issues.
Croatia’s coastline is one of the most popular sailing destinations in Europe, attracting many British visitors each season. While most visits pass without difficulty, situations involving medical needs, marina communication, technical problems, administrative procedures, or unexpected incidents can sometimes arise while travelling by yacht or charter vessel.
We provide local assistance for British sailors, yacht guests, and charter clients who require help communicating with local services or navigating practical issues during their stay on the Adriatic coast. Our local knowledge and English-language support can help visitors resolve problems more efficiently and continue their travels with less disruption.
