City tax is a legal obligation for all legal entities who provide accommodation services in the area of Split. The host acts only as an intermediary – this amount goes directly to the Tourist Board and is not subject to taxation.
City tax amount (per night / per person):
€1.86 – for stays from 01.10. to 31.03. (October 1st to March 31st)
€2.65 – for stays from 01.04. to 30.09. (April 1st to September 30th)
This amount is charged for each person and each overnight stay.
The total amount depends on the number of guests and the number of nights.
Recommendation
Optional Accidental Protection Fee
€1.00 per person, per night
For added peace of mind, this optional fee covers accidental minor incidents affecting the accommodation during your stay up to €300.00.
The fee is charged per person, per night and applies only if paid for all guests staying in the accommodation. If the fee is paid for only one guest while multiple guests are staying, the protection is not valid.
It does not cover major incidents, negligence, intentional acts, or loss/theft of items. This is a one-time, non-refundable fee and not a security deposit. If selected as an optional service, no security deposit is required.
